DRX9000 Spinal Decompression and Chiropractic is a good Mix

San Francisco Chiropractor and Herniated Disc Doctor comments on the benefits of decompression therapy with the DRX9000 and Chiropractic adjustments, done together:

The DRX9000 spinal decompression system and chiropractic care have a lot in common. They both seek to remove nerve interference so the body can repair and heal itself. The body built itself and recreates itself on an ongoing basis. It uses the nervous system (brain, spinal cord, and nerves) to control and coordinate all of your bodily functions. The bones of the skull and spine house and protect the nervous system. It's the only organ in the body to be completely encased by bone. That's how vital to life the nervous system is. When the bones of the spine (vertebrae) are in their proper alignment they are able to do their job (protect nervous system). When the bones lose their normal, protective alignment (subluxation), they can offend and irritate the same nerve tissue they were designed to protect. This can also cause compression and abnormal wear and tear on the spinal discs, the pads that separate the spinal bones and hold them together. The spinal discs also act as shock absorbers. This chain reaction is also referred to as degenerative disc disease. The spinal discs can weaken further leading to herniated discs and spinal stenosis.

If subluxations are left undetected and uncorrected over a period of time they can really wreak havoc as we get older. You see, the discs do not have any direct blood supply. They exchange nutrients with the blood stream through spinal motion. So, the vertebral discs end up degenerating, the spinal bones come closer together, and the nerves they once protected become irritated and inflamed.

Chiropractic and spinal decompression with the DRX9000 both seek to restore spinal motion, rehydrate and repair spinal discs, and strengthen spinal ligaments. Now, not everyone can handle both chiropractic and nonsurgical spinal decompression at the same time. Some have already tried chiropractic adjustments and it did not help. Some are just too sore and inflamed for anything but decompression therapy with the DRX 9000 (at least in the beginning). So, we only do the combo if it makes sense. And, we go super light with the chiropractic. We even have an instrument we use that is very low force. The point is, they compliment each other and we do them together if we need to. Each case is handled differently as they should be.
