Are You A Computer Athlete?
San Francisco Chiropractor and Carpal Tunnel Doctor Comments:
What is a computer athlete? According to Brian Bemtow, author of The Computer Athlete's Handbook, a computer athlete is... someone who is specially trained for using a computer.
Just like an athlete trains to be the best at their sport...a computer athlete trains so that they can endure the physical demands sitting in front of a computer day in and day out, puts on the body.
This kind of stuff is right up my alley...as I have been treating San Francisco Financial District office workers for over 17 years now. Sitting in front of a computer can take it's toll on your health if you are not careful. Conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, back pain, neck pain...even degenerative disc disease and disc herniations, can all result from poor work habits in front of a computer.
I have not read this book, but I looked over the website and I think this is great information.
Look it over and tell me what you think.
