    Carpal Tunnel Syndrome-Consider Chiropractic

San Francisco Chiropractor and Carpal Tunnel Doctor Comments:

Images[2] I have been treating carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) for over 16 years now in downtown San Francisco. In fact, I have taught chiropractors from around the world how to diagnose and treat upper extremity conditions.

I have always had an interest in treating CTS and it's related disorders. In Chiropractic College, all my class mates would come to me when they had shoulder, arm,or hand pain.

Then, when I started up my chiropractic practice, it was at the onset of the technological revolution and the dot-com bubble...the San Francisco Financial District was the epicenter.  I would go to companies and teach their employees how to setup their workstations to prevent carpal tunnel, and what do do once they had it. I treated thousands of patients with arm and hand pain...mostly with great success. So I guess I am a CTS expert.

The most important thing I learned...and I learned quickly...is CTS develops silently...usually from poor ergonomics, repetitive motions (RSI), and often times poor lifestyle choices. Then, when CTS hits...it hits hard...often putting the patient out of commission for extended periods of time.

So, we came up with a program for companies to help reduce CTS in their workplace, and we would teach this to their employees...sometimes 3-4 days per week. WE also held seminars at my Carpal Tunnel Injury Center on Front Street.

But, what was just as important, is what to do once you have CTS...because wrist splints and Motrin did not seem to do much good. And, thats what most doctors would prescribe.  Well, that's where we we would really shine. Our chiropractic regimen for CTS would treat the neck all the way to the fingertips on both sides. After-all, the nerves that control the hand originate in the neck. The median nerve, which is the nerve in the wrist that is compromised with true CTS...originates in the neck.

Anyway, there are now chiropractors around the US and other parts of the world that use these methods. If you have CTS, I would highly recommend finding one of them. You can send me an email and I will tell you if there is a doctor near you that I have trained.

If you live in San Francisco or the Bay Area, you can see me at Executive Express Chiropractic in the SF Financial District. We are located at the Embarcadero Center and we can validate your parking. For a complimentary CTS Evaluation...call 415-392-2225.
