San Francisco Chiropractor Comments:
I have been getting emails and comments from a few of the same chronic back pain sufferers for several years now. And the thing is...some of them live right here in San Francisco. They ask for my advice over and over again...but they never seem to take action. I have offered to meet with them personally...but they never do.
Here's the deal...just like Albert Einstein said...Nothing Happens Until Something Moves.
If doing the same things is causing the same outcome than you have to do something different. Sure...it's OK to do your homework and learn about some of your options when it comes to back pain treatments...but at some point you have to make your move.
There is a school of thought that says that people actually become attached to their back pain and that having it gives them something to do...something to talk about...and something not to do...because they just can't decide. I think maybe there is some truth to this...there must be.
I also know there are those that do take action and have tried everything under the sun...and they are still in pain. Sure, they may still be in pain, but they will never find a solution unless they keep trying...and they recognize this...so they keep moving forward...trying new things...because life is motion, and nothing happens without it.
Even if it means changing your diet (I recommend vegan) and getting on an exercise program...or trying nonsurgical spinal decompression with the DRX9000, or chiropractic. In fact...I would put the aforementioned right at the top of the list.
And...you also have to adjust all the health variables (stress, weight loss, posture, mattress, ergonomics, smoking, drinking, etc) in the right direction before you give up.
Anyway...life is much better without chronic back pain. My favorite quote says it all:
"When health is absent, Wisdom cannot reveal itself, Art cannot become manifest, Strength cannot be exerted, Wealth is useless, and Reason is powerless."
