San Francisco Herniated Disc Doctor Comments:
Have you been diagnosed with a herniated disc? If so, you may not realize that there are a couple of really good solutions for herniated discs that do not involve drugs or surgery.
They are chiropractic and nonsurgical spinal decompression. We offer both at Executive Express Chiropractic in downtown San Francisco.
In fact, herniated lumbar discs and herniated cervical discs often times respond favorably to chiropractic or nonsurgical spinal decompression when nothing seems to be helping.
The typical spinal decompression patient at Executive Express has tried pain medications, muscle relaxers, cortisone injections, and physical therapy...even acupuncture. Some have tried back swings and conventional traction also...which can make a herniated disc worse.
In any case...most herniated disc patients seek out a chiropractor because they do not want surgery. And most of the time, chiropractic is able to deliver favorable outcomes.
However, there is a sub-set of lumbar and cervical herniated disc patients that do not respond to anything, including chiropractic care (10-15%). For these patients we consider nonsurgical spinal decompression.
Nonsurgical decompression is a treatment that is done on a very expensive machine that is designed and built to treat neurovascular compression syndromes such as herniated and bulging discs...ours costs $150,000. The decompression machine is computerized and has a biofeedback mechanism that enables it to sense when the body is resisting the treatment (muscle guarding) so that it can reduce the amount of pull (this is where patients get hurt with conventional traction) so that no harm is done.
The spinal decompression machines we have are the DRX9000 and DRX9000c. The DRX9000 is able to isolate on a specific spinal segment, say L5-S1 (the most common lumbar disc to herniate) and actually increase the disc space, elongate the spine, stretch the spinal ligaments, and re-position the spinal disc into a more normal position.
The DRX9000 and DRX9000c also create a negative pressure which pulls herniated disc fragments off the spinal cord and nerves, while at the same time re-hydrating the disc with a controlled pumping action. It truly is amazing (see our DRX9000 testimonials).
Even though the DRX9000 spinal decompression machine gets great results (see DRX9000 Special Report)...it still is NOT a Magic Bullet. It takes about 20-26 one hour sessions over a 6-8 week period...and there is lots of home care and exercise along the way. But when patients look at the options...most will decide it's worth a shot.
If you want to find out if you are a candidate for nonsurgical spinal decompression with the DRX9000 or the DRX9000c, contact Executive Express Chiropractic at 415-392-2225. Or request an appointment online.
If you do not live or work near San Francisco, go to www.Axiomworldwide.com, they have a DRX9000 doctor finder tool.

I spent $300 on an inversion swing and after a month my back pain was reduced significantly. I will continue to do this until i get full recovery.
