Many wrist pain patients do not realize that some chiropractors are wrist pain experts. Adjustments to the wrist, laser therapy, special exercises, ergonomic instructions, and even sleeping postures, can help a repetitive stress injury heal in a short period of time.

"I have learned that working at the computer with your hand bent up toward you is a common cause of this type of tendonitis, is this true? my work requires a lot of computer work and I'm a bit concerned about this. What about sitting posture, will this contribute as well in having wrist pain?

Hi Kate, yes it's best to only have the hands slightly bent when typing. A more neutral position is ideal...with just a little bit of natural extension. That's how we teach our San Francisco chiropractic patients to prevent wrist pain.

Tendonitis is common. I would ice the wrists and I would visit a chiropractor that specializes in wrist pain like we do in San Francisco. Google "wrist pain" and your city. Read about them first and see if they have an patient reviews you can listen to or read. If you need help finding someone email me: ebendavis@yahoo.com.
